About Dr. David R. Edenbaum
Dr. Edenbaum received his doctorate in dental medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry. While a dental student, he was a member of the Oral Surgery Honor Society, the Periodontal Honor Society, The Endodontic Study Club and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. Dr. Edenbaum also served a term as president of Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.
Dr. Edenbaum completed Temple University's prestigious post-doctoral periodontal residency program. In a periodontal residency, doctors spend two years of intense surgical training in periodontics, encompassing the treatment of periodontal (gum) disease, oral medicine, dental implantology, surgical extractions, cosmetic periodontal surgery, oral surgery and the treatment of TMJ dysfunction as well as advanced techniques in restorative and cosmetic dental procedures.
Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Edenbaum entered private practice and continued research and teaching in the fields of Periodontology, dental implantology and guided bone regeneration (cosmetically and functionally rebuilding lost bone and gum). Dr. Edenbaum is the co-developer of the Osseofix membrane fixation system (a surgical technique for complex bone grafting) and continues to lecture nationally on topics related to implant dentistry, bone grafting and emergency medicine in dentistry.
Dr. Edenbaum is the recipient of the J. George Coslett Award for Excellence in Periodontology. In 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and again in 2009 Dr. Edenbaum was named to "America's Top Dentists" in the fields of Periodontics and Dental Implantology by the Consumer's Research Council of America, in their "Guide to America's Top Dentists." Dr. Edenbaum was also chosen "Best Periodontist" by South Jersey Magazine in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. At State of the Art Smiles Dr. Edenbaum has made the education of his patients and his colleagues a priority and has been awarded the status of an accredited provider of continuing education by the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Edenbaum has had extensive experience together with Dr. Addiego and the many referring dentists who have sent patients from their practices as well as complex cases referred by other surgeons, ensuring that patients are able, on the day of their procedure, to leave the office with a beautiful smile.
