Hi John,

I am not aware of this happening, although I have had patients complain about altered taste immediately after the dental implant surgery which was related to the mouthrinse (chlorhexidine) that was given for the first 1-2 weeks. Once the mouthrinse was discontinued, the altered taste sensation went away. Without any additional information, it would be difficult for me to comment further.
