Dear Michelle:
There is no age limit for getting dental implants. The decision is based on the health of the individual and his or her desire to improve the quality of life. In the case of a person that has to suffer the discomfort and aggravation of a loose denture, the placement of implants can make that person feel more comfortable and confident, and be able to eat a more balanced diet. Again, the age of a person is not a factor. The health status, mental capacity, and attitude and desire to be comfortable in his or her elderly years is what's important.
