Sam asks:

I'm thinking about getting dental implants, but I'm a medium drinker. So I'm wondering is there a problem with drinking alcohol before I get dental implants? What about after? Will alcohol effect the healing process? Can this lead to complications?

Dear Sam,

The short answer is yes, yes, yes.

Drinking before is detrimental, it reduces your healing abilities, affects coagulation, etc...

Drinking after increases the incidence of complications after implant surgery.
