Am I at risk if I do not take antibiotics following a single implant procedure? I do not tolerate Amoxicillin at all.

Hi Gerry:

As with any invasive surgery, especially when it involves bone and soft tissue, it is advisable to take prophylactic antibiotics to prevent potential problems.

If you are sensitive or do not tolerate some types of antibiotics, your surgeon will prescribe the correct regiment for you.
