Carina asks:
A couple of years ago, my dentist removed my top lateral incisors. They mistook it for baby teeth. My teeth are straight, but I want to get my canine's filled in because look funny on the side of my front teeth. Is this possible with implants? Can I still get dental implants even after all this time?
Do you feel like a dummy when it comes to dental implants? Don't worry. We can help. Below are popular posts for those just starting out with implants.

Dental implants are designed to replace missing teeth. If you have a missing teeth, absolutely a great option for you. If you are talking about odd shape of your canine and want to improve its look, then some cosmetic / restorative procedure will be more appropriate.

Teeth Removed a Few Years Ago: Can I Still Get Implants?
As long as sufficient bone and spacing exists to place implants, they can be placed. If sufficient bone and/or spacing is not present, there are many options to replace what was lost. Bone can be rebuilt with bone grafting procedures, and space can be recaptured with orthodontics if it is currently insufficient.
As for your comments about your canines, I was unsure if you were indicating that they were put in the place of your laterals, or if you were just unhappy with their shape even if they were in the correct position. Your dentist can make a "mock-up" of what implants and/or reshaping of existing teeth will look like so that you can make a better decision about what will be best for you.
