Chimney!

Answered By: Dr. H. Ryan Kazemi - Bethesda , MD

Hi
I also have not heard of chimney for implants!
The all on four plan is a treatment option for placement of a fixed prosthesis on 4 implants.

Not heard of this either,

Not heard of this either, must be some type of slang term for a portion that goes over the implants

Chimneys, what are they?

Answered By: Dr. Michael Johnson - Bellevue , WA

Chimneys are holes through the denture to allow access to the screws that retain the all on four denture. These "chimneys" or screw access holes are filled in after the prosthesis is fastened to the implants.
