Prolia

Answered By: Dr. Theodore M. Grossman - Aventura , FL

Hi Sandy
Osteonecrosis of the jaw has occurred with patients on Prolia therapy. It is a human IgG2 monoclonal antibody and it suppresses bone turnover. You should not have any elective, invasive Oral Surgery performed while on Prolia.
