Depending on the amount of crestal bone height under the sinus cavity a minimal-invasive crestal sinus osteotome procedure can be achieved and regenerate predictably 3 to 4 mm of bone.
Another option is to place short dental implants in patients with decreased posterior maxillary bone height.
This last procedure is still undergoing further long term studies for efficacy and predictability.
