Bone Graft and Implant: Is this Done by Two Different Dentists?

0 votes
I have been told I need a bone graft and a dental implant. Can I get a bone graft with one dentist and then the dental implant with another dentist or are both procedures done by the same dentist?

The answer to your question depends on how bad of a defect you have in future implant site, and expertise of your Dentist who is going to place an implant. If you are going to an specialist for bone graft, he will be able to place the implant for you later on, then he will send you back to your restorative dentist to place the crown part of your dental implant. I hope this answers your question.
