I currently have a lower denture that I would like replaced with dental implants. How long will the procedure take and what is the cost factor?

First you have to let your dentist do an evaluation so that he or she can tell you what your options are.
Generally, you can start from the least expensive option which is modifying your existing denture to fit over four mini implants that are used to hold the denture, to the most expensive option where you have a minimum of four regular implants holding the teeth that you cannot remove (fixed to the jaw with implants).
The procedures take from one day with mini implants to four to five months with regular implants, and the cost starts from $500-700 for each mini implant (minimum of four) to $1500-$2000 for each regular implant (minimum of two) .
To that, you add the cost of adapting your denture or remaking it.($300 to $2000).
Talk to your dentist and let him suggest what your options are.  He will be able to give you a better estimate of costs.
Good luck!

Another option is the All-On-Four system . Four CT guided implants are placed and are immediately restored with a temporary, fixed bridge. The permanent bridge is placed in a few weeks. Prices range from $10,000 to $30,000.per arch.
