He received his doctorate in Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania and completed a General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. A certificate to specialize in the practice of Periodontics was granted by the Columbia University School of Dental Medicine and Oral Surgery.

Dr. Weinstein lectures both locally and nationally on topics related to periodontics and dental implants.
